cancellation policy


  • Bookings are not confirmed without payment.
  • Where a provisional booking has been offered, this must be paid for within 5 days to secure the booking. Provisional bookings cannot be held longer than 5 days without payment.
  • Discounts are made available where sessions are block booked and paid for in advance, this is reflected in the quotation
  • Payment can be made by cheque, BACS, credit/debit card, or PayPal.

Cancelling or rescheduling

Please give us as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule a booked session.

training classes

Cancellation of training class bookings incur a £5 administration fee.

Cancellation with more than 2 week's notice to start date of class - 50% refund. If class place place can be filled, full refund minus admin charge.

Cancellations with less than 2 weeks notice to start date of class - refund at trainer's discretion.

Sessions are non-transferable, if you miss a class we will send you homework but we cannot guarantee a catch-up session.

private sessions

Cancellation with less than 48 hours notice - full fee payable or you may reschedule with a 50% additional charge

behaviour consults

Cancellation with less than 48 hours notice - no refund or reschedule with £50 additional charge

Cancellation (workshops)

All cancellations must be notified to, and acknowledged by, the Office in order to receive a refund.

Two months or more from Event = full refund

Less than two months but more than four weeks from Event = 75% course fee refund, e.g. Event fee £100.00, refund = £75.00

Four weeks or less from Event = no refund

Photographs and recordings

Photographs and/or recordings may be taken by the Company during the Event for educational and publicity purposes. No other photographs and/or recordings may be taken without prior permission from the Office.

Bitch in season

If your bitch comes into season immediately prior to or during a course, please notify the Office.

Health & Safety

If your pet is ill or suffers an injury immediately prior to or during the Event, please notify the Office. Do not bring your pet to the Event if s/he is ill or injured, or has been infected with, or has been in contact with another dog infected with, a contagious disease.

If your pet is neutered immediately prior to or during the Event, please notify the Office.  

Dog training is a physical activity and as such Handlers are reminded to train with due care and attention to their own safety and that of others. Handlers are responsible for the conduct of their dog at all times.

Handlers and Delegates are reminded to adhere to the guidelines of the APDT UK, and to refrain from the use of harsh handling, aversive techniques and equipment intended to punish e.g. choke chains, prong collars, pet correctors etc.

Neither Well Connected Canine nor any person acting on behalf of the Company accept any liability for any loss, damage, accident, injury or illness to dogs, handlers, spectators or any other persons or property whatsoever.

Keeping in touch (training and behaviour packages)

We will send you action plans by email and in hard copy following each face to face session. Skype calls will be supported by emailed reminders and recordings will be made available. While we will send reminder emails and texts, you are responsible for updating progress logs or contacting us with progress reports.

If you have not responded to our emails and texts after three reminders we will assume you have decided to not to continue with our services. You will be removed from our active client list. You may reapply for additional support.

Completing packages and expiry date

Your sessions should be scheduled within 6 months of payment. If unavoidable circumstances such as illness interfere please let us know as soon as possible. Should a pre-paid session not be booked within 6 months of the initial payment date and you do not contact us to discuss postponing the package, no refund will be given.
